MEL021 is a next-generation FAP20 optical fingerprint authentication device engineered to deliver fast, accurate, and secure biometric performance for demanding applications. MOSIP SBI 2.0-compliant and built on the RA8 series solution, MEL021 integrates an ARM CPU, Secure Element, on-chip ROM/Flash, and RAM in a compact BGA package, providing a robust foundation for secure authentication.
Designed for dependable field operation, MEL021 features a scratch-resistant optical sensor, FBI PIV certification, latent fingerprint detection, and low FR/FAR for highly reliable fingerprint capture. Its 500 DPI resolution, automatic finger detection, built-in quality checks, and fast acquisition enable efficient user authentication and streamlined workflows.
With an IP65-rated design, MEL021 is built to perform reliably across challenging environments while supporting USB 2.0 connectivity and Windows and Android platforms. Advanced security capabilities include Secure Boot, TEE-based secure memory, key wrapping, and support for advanced cryptography algorithms.
MEL021 also supports ISO/IEC 19794-2:2005 and 2011, WSQ, and JPEG2000 biometric data interchange formats, enabling broad interoperability.
