This fingerprint device is designed for secure, reliable biometric capture in MOSIP- based identity and authentication deployments. It is an STQC-certified single- finger scanner and is approved for Aadhaar authentication use cases. The device is BIS registered (R-72003948) and adheres to IS 13252 (Part-1) safety requirements aligned with IEC 60950-1 standards.
The device implements the MOSIP Registered Device (RD) architecture, ensuring that biometric capture and security- critical operations are handled within the device itself. Fingerprint data is captured live and digitally signed using a unique device key, helping ensure data authenticity. The onboard RD Service securely manages biometric capture, user interaction (such as preview), signing, and encryption, and returns an encrypted PID block to the host application. All cryptographic operations are executed inside a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE).
Each unit includes a unique device identifier to support traceability, analytics, and fraud-risk management. The device supports ISO and PIV compliant fingerprint templates, secure boot, Trust Zone-based encryption, and FTM-supported security features. Built for real- world usage, the reader is IP54- rated for dust and water protection and is shock resistant, making it suitable for field and assisted-service environments.
