IriSentinel inherits the best of IriShield the same capturing process empowered by IriTech’s in-house NIST award-winning iris image quality assessment and the same K7 generating engine, yet IriSentinel takes the security to a whole new level with Foundational Trust Module (FTM) powered by NXP’s IMX6UL G3 and a MOSIP Device Service completely embedded in an independent computing system where sensitive processing flow including iris capturing process and cryptographic operations are segregated from the “outside” world, hence, making IriSentinel resistant to cyber attacks.

IriSentinel was developed back in 2016 based on Aadhaar Registered Device Specification for L1 (UIDAI – India), which imposes security stringencies similar to those of MOSIP’s SBI 2.0. It has been certified since 2019 as an STQC Registered Device for authentication after being tested on a live authentication setup using the hunan test population of more than 5000 residents with nearly 0% False Rejection Rate (FRR) on IriTech’s K7 iris images compressed to 3.5Kb in India. The maturity and quality of IriSentinel, therefore, is proven independently.
